The New England Section of the American Physical Society (APS-NES) is a network of
Physicists from Academia, Industry, Government and individuals interested in
Physics and related subjects. Its goal is to promote, disseminate and advance
the knowledge and application of physics in the New England region of the United
States. Membership in the APS-NES is open to all American Physical Society
members.
The Section organizes two annual meetings - a Fall and a Spring meeting. Both meetings
are held with the New England Section of the American
Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT-NES). The Section strongly encourages the
active participation of students (undergraduates and graduates) in its meetings.
Student attendees may be reimbursed up to $100 for
registration fees, abstract publication fees, banquet tickets, hotels, meals,
and travel to and from the meeting.
Please see the Meetings & Activities section in this site for more
information about Section Meetings and other Physics related Activities.
