Its goal is to promote, disseminate and advance the knowledge and application of physics in the New England region of the United States. Membership in the APS-NES is open to all American Physical Society members.

The Section organizes two annual meetings - a Fall and a Spring meeting. Both meetings are held with the New England Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT-NES). The Section strongly encourages the active participation of students (undergraduates and graduates) in its meetings.

Please see the Meetings & Activities section in this site for more information about Section Meetings and other Physics related Activities.
