Education
B.S., 1989, Yale University, Physics
M.S., 1993, Cornell University, Physics
Ph.D., 1997, Cornell University, Physics
Teaching and Research Interests
Courses I teach or have
taught: include University Physics II, General Physics I and II, Optics,
Mechanics, Heat and Thermodynamics and associated physics laboratories.
My research interests include Laser Radar (LIDAR), optical atmospheric studies, planetary
atmospheres,
and thermodynamics. I have
secured both internal and external grants for research in experimental laser
and optical studies; and I have conducted on-campus experimental research using
the NASA Micro-Pulse.
Laser Radar System. I have also
guided student research in optical studies of Earth’s atmosphere.
