| There is a number
of CD ROMs and Web based resources now available to students and
instructors of physics. These computer based resources have added an
interactive component to further enhance the study of physics. These often
provide additional physical examples, problem solving exposure, and
interactive experimentation of basic physical phenomena. Three examples of such sites are
The Physics Classroom, www.PhysicsCentral.com,
and www.colorado.edu/physics/2000,
the
Physics Education Technology (PhET) site from the University of
Colorado, Boulder.
Another site that has a number of interactive Electricity & Magnetism
related applets can be found at the
Molecular Expressions lab at FSU. If you need to refresh your basic algebra for this
course, visit The
Purple Math site which has additional links to other sites such as
James Brennan's Algebra book
online. An excellent video tutorial site is
www.mathtv.com. For additional Physics related
resources go to my website at www.physics.ccsu.edu/lemaire
and you will find selected sites that are of interest. Have fun! |
